Sanction Show Award Program
About the program
This is a program geared to encourage the competitive spirit and sportsmanship among aquarium hobbyists.
Participants enter FAAS Sanctioned Shows in order to accumulate points over a one-year period. To enable all individuals and societies to start at the same level, the various categories are tracked beginning each January 1st. Categories for club awards include Show Club of the Year (most points in a given year) or Most Improved Show Club (highest increase in show points over the previous year). For the Individual, Show Person of the Year (highest number of points), Junior Show Person of the Year, Novice Show Person of the Year, and Most Improved Show Person of the Year.
To provide individuals and societies that have a lesser opportunity to compete in shows and smaller societies with lower memberships a fair and equitable arena of competition, awards are given within graded divisions with participants eligible in one division only.
