Serving KW and Area hobbyists since 1960. Welcome to the Kitchener Waterloo Aquarium Society’s website. We offer information of interest to all Aquarists as well as club event information for our members and others that are interested in this fascinating hobby. We look forward to seeing you at one of our meetings some day soon.

KWAS is a non-profit organization established in 1960. Our club goals are to:

Further the hobby and study of tropical fish and related Endeavours
Inspire the preservation of aquatic life
Maintain a meeting place for its members
Develop and maintain a library on aquatic life
Promote fellowship among its members
Seek out and establish a kinship with other clubs with similar objectives

Meetings are held the first Tuesday of each month (except July and August) at the Adult Recreation Centre in Waterloo. Meetings start at 7:30pm and the doors are generally open around 7pm. Guests are welcome and are encouraged to sign our guest book and receive a complimentary copy of our monthly publication Fins & Tales.
