OUR MISSION STATEMENT: The Society, established in 1958, is a non-profit, educational organization dedicated to the task of promoting interest in the breeding, raising, maintenance and study of tropical fish, both at the beginner and advanced levels.

We have a lot to offer anyone interested in aquariums. At our monthly meetings, we have guest speakers, mini-auctions (where you can buy or sell tanks, fishes and plants, or tank, fish, and plant accessories), jar shows, raffles, refreshments and a great opportunity to ask aquarium questions. Memberships are inexpensive and include a monthly newsletter "The SCAT", with articles by hobbyists, and dates of upcoming events in Canada and the U.S
