Greater City Aquarium Society (GCAS) is a primarily freshwater fish hobby club, meeting once a month (on the first Wednesday of the month) in Queens, NY (no meetings in January or February) at the Queens Botanical Garden in Flushing, NY. The GCAS was founded in 1922 and is one of the oldest continuously meeting aquarium societies in the country. Meetings are free and open to the public. Greater City is a member of the Federation of American Aquarium Societies and the North East Council of Aquarium Societies. Our dues are $20 a year (March to December season), and includes includes 10 issues (one for each month we meet) of our multiple-award winning publication "Modern Aquarium." There is free admission, free parking, and free refreshments. We have a monthly bowl show, noted speakers, and knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful members.
