Local Strawberry Festival- One of our members is an organizer for a local community festival. He got us a free table at the event. We will be doing it again this year. We have a screen running things like a "how to set up & take care of an aquarium" powerpoint. We also did a raffle and some other fundraising. I'm not sure if it would have been worthwhile if we had to pay for the booth space, but it's a good contact event.

We also get a table at the zoo's Earth Day event and do aquarium-related programming/contact there.

We are working on a speakers bureau for school, scout troop, senior center, etc programs, but that's still in the works. We're planning a program on native fish, among others.

On the guerrilla marketing end, we've got a number of members who are freecycle fanatics, who keep an eye out for people wanting aquariums. We send them an email telling them about the club, with a link to the website, and we've gotten some very active members that way.

We haven't gotten our SMP or BAP programs going, but we will be electing chairbeings for FW and SW sections soon. We're finally getting enough freshwater members that we can contemplate doing an auction and/or show. We're hoping we can become an auction crossroads for Detroit, Cleveland, Akron, Fort Wayne, etc.
